Security Engineer

Scope, design and champion Security solutions for projects spanning all of Meta's users, employees, and infrastructure.Security Engineer Responsibilities

• Lead a combined Security Engineering, Security Analyst, and Software Engineering organization to implement security solutions and platforms shared across Meta.
• Determine what the highest-risk items in the above domains are across the company, then lead development of detailed threat models and solutions across the space.
• Navigate tradeoffs between security and friction/cost to ensure the company can continue to move fast in a secure manner.

Minimum Qualifications

• B.S. Computer Science or related field.
• Significant experience in driving large cross-company engineering+Security initiatives.
• Experience managing security risk and navigating the tradeoff between security and friction in a large organization.
• Experience communicating and influencing across functions to drive solutions.
• Experience operating in high ambiguity environments and balancing technical solution design with complex business processes & requirements.
• Hands-on engineering experience leading a blended Security Engineering and Software Engineering organization.
