Vulnerability Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Support Booz Allen's internal Vulnerability Management team within the Enterprise Cybersecurity organization, with a focus on application security vulnerabilities. Use enterprise-level vulnerability scanning and assessment tools to configure scans, identify weaknesses, and work with application developers to prioritize remediation of vulnerable application code and web applications within defined remediation target deadlines. Create vulnerability metrics and keep up-to-date with emerging threats within the industry. Work collaboratively with other Cybersecurity teams in a Cyber Fusion Center environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in vulnerability management or analysis
  • Experience working in an environment with SOC operations and cybersecurity engineers
  • Experience using enterprise vulnerability scanning tools including Tenable.sc, Nessus, or Qualys
  • Knowledge of CVSS, CWE, NVD, and threat intelligence sources
  • Ability to evaluate the risk of all identified vulnerabilities and prepare remediation instructions for system administrators
  • Ability to generate reports to measure progress in meeting vulnerability remediation targets
  • Ability to monitor compliance with BOD 22-01 to track vulnerabilities against a critical catalog of known exploited vulnerabilities, and BOD 23-01 for asset discovery and vulnerability enumeration
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks including NIST 800-53
  • CEH, CySA+, CASP+, CISSP, or Tenable certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
