The Opportunity:  

As a Cyber Mission Specialist with a focus on hardware, you understand the value of hunt-forward operations, and you know that battles are won in the grey. At Booz Allen, you can use your cyberspace operations experience to create solutions that will be executed on a worldwide stage. We’re looking for a cyber mission specialist like you to apply your experience with network endpoint security tools, JOPES, cyber threat info, developing operations plans, cyber threat signatures, and monitoring tools to impact our nation’s defense.    

You’ll work with Booz Allen colleagues and the U.S. Space Force to develop and rapidly deploy the next generation of resilient Missile Warning (MW), Tactical Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (TISR), and Environmental Monitoring (EM) capabilities to deter attacks and provide critical information to our warfighters to defeat our enemies in battle. You will work with your team to leverage cyberspace operations systems to aggregate threat feeds that inform briefings for senior leadership aligned to our nation's security. This is an opportunity to use your research and analysis abilities to adequately assess and inform operators and senior leadership and commanders on dynamic adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures for the mission area. Your role will be vital in the development of operations plans to support command and control. You Have:    

• 3+ years of experience with cyber operations and information security in a joint environment, supporting space Major Defense Acquisition Programs, including space, ground, software, and hardware systems 

• Knowledge of Risk Management Framework and its functionality 

• Ability to analyze and interpret crypto data and patterns and formulate senior level recommendations  

• Secret clearance  

• Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:    

• Experience with on space-based remote sensing systems 

• Experience managing secure voice devices, network encryptors, link encryptors, secure remote access devices, hard disk encryptors, and Tier 3 management devices, and managing organizational mission assurance or risk management planning, training, and exercise programs  

• Experience with Air Force or USSF COMSEC Load Devices and COMSEC Cryptographic Systems, such as ancillary, production, and authentication 

• Experience managing cryptology operations focusing on both encryption and decryption  

• Experience managing obsolescence, including DMSMS reports, and providing recommendations for sustainment operations   

• Knowledge of Controlled Cryptographic items and Cryptographic High Value Products 

• Knowledge of Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) assessments and how to translate data into actionable contract verbiage 

• TS/SCI clearance 

• Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, IT, Information Assurance, or Information Security  

• CISSP, CISM, and Security+ Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
