The Sales Engineer (SE) at Obrela is viewed as an expert in cyber security, who will help Obrela and our partners manage existing customers, develop new opportunities, expand strategic markets, and develop strong and rewarding internal and external customer relationships. The Sales Engineer is a professional cyber security engineer who works with customers and channel partners to promote Obrela’s Cyber Security portfolio of products and services and make recommendations for security solutions. In coordination with the Head of Presales, Sales team and Regional Sales SVP/VP/Director, the SE will provide technical support to the sales team to develop leads, qualify opportunities and support multiple bids in accordance with Obrela’s bidding process.

Role Responsibilities

  • Engages with sales team, customers and partners to understand and collect customers’ requirements and communicate the technical value of all relevant Obrela solutions.
  • Supports the sales cycle by delivering technical briefings, presentations, solutions demos, technical white papers, responses to RFI/RFPs, Proof of Concepts (PoCs) etc.
  • Seeks out new sales opportunities by developing new and existing technical relationships.
  • Engages in solution architecture discussions with customers and partners.
  • Presents Obrela services from a technical and business perspective and manages technical expectations with customer’s and partners’ senior stakeholders and team members.
  • Qualifies sales opportunities including RFI/RFPs in cooperation with the sales team.
  • Supports the bidding process, including opportunity qualification, solution design, response to RFI/RFPs, proposal write-up and coordination with service delivery team.
  • Ensures the smooth and successful transition (externally and internally) from sales process to service delivery.
  • Works closely with different teams across Obrela to design customized solutions, produce presales material, including technical presentations, RFP templates, proposal templates, case studies etc., to prepare and deliver solutions demos, receive product development updates, request pricing for third party products, build competitive intelligence.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales engineering/presales in technology, information security or managed service industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales engineering/presales in Managed Security Services, Managed Detection & Response, SIEM, XDR, EDR, NDR, Cloud Security, security controls and practices.
  • Knowledgeable about local markets, customers’ security requirements, adopted technologies, industry regulations and business drivers.
  • Strong experience in assessing customer requirements, articulating the best-fit solution design and managing bids from opportunity qualification to contract award.
  • Highly motivated, and target- oriented to follow through on commitments and deliver results with the right quality and in a timely fashion.
  • Interpersonal skills with high energy to create and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.
  • Collaboration skills with the ability to proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with multiple Obrela teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office tools, Sales tools (e.g., Salesforce), Collaboration tools.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher (Computer Science, Information Security, or relevant field).
  • Master’s degree in Cyber Security will be considered as a plus.
  • One or more certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC (any), CCSP, PCI, QSA, CEH, product certifications
  • Fluent written & verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Minimum ability to travel 40% and frequently on short notice.
