Responsibilities

Are you ready to make an impact? We are looking a cleared Lead Systems Architect to join our team in  Melbourne, Florida who designs and develops new systems, applications, and solutions for enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks. Ensures system security needs are established and maintained for operations development, security requirements definition, security risk assessment, systems analysis, systems design, security test and evaluation, certification and accreditation, systems hardening, vulnerability testing and scanning, incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning. Provides analytical support for security policy development and analysis. Integrates new architectural features into existing infrastructures, designs cyber security architectural artifacts, provides architectural analysis of cyber security features, and relates existing system to future needs and trends, embeds advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction, provides engineering recommendations, and resolves integration and testing issues. May interface with external entities including law enforcement, intelligence and other government organizations and agencies.

 

 

RESPONSIBLITIES:

 

As the Lead Systems Architect you will lead a team of 8+ FTE’s You will use your experience to formulate and implement automation solutions to support application and systems monitoring in an AWS cloud-based system. You will provide DevSecOps support for the implementation and maintenance of Dev, Test and Production Linux environments.  Additional responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • DevSecOps oriented software engineer experienced with DevSecOps industry standard technologies and cloud environments
  • Designs cloud architecture and completes plans and specifications to develop solutions
  • Extensive experience with cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps, containerized application design, performance monitoring and optimization, high availability, disaster recovery, data infrastructure, and security
  • Be responsible for monitoring system performance, IT system operations and storage utilization.
  • Collaborates with product managers and engineers to develop specifications for new cloud-based products/services, applications, and solutions
  • Design, build and deploy containerized software solutions
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and processes for automating deployments
  • Design and develop software applications in an Agile environment
  • Design and develop Infrastructure as Code
  • Serve as POC / backup in supporting new hire on boarding process
  • Recommending, validating, and monitoring technical documentation
  • Lead customer TEMS, CMB’s and Working Groups
  • Capture and report metrics to senor leadership
  • Provide weekly tech reports to senior leadership
  • Identify program and technical risks; work with COTRs and project leads to mitigate and address these risks.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.; AA/AS degree and 14 years’ experience; in lieu of degree, 16 years of related experience is allowable. 
  • A current/valid Security+ certification (or equivalent DOD 8570 IAT II Level Certification) or ability to obtain the certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Application programming languages and build principles using C, C++ or Java
  • Developing software in a Linux and Windows environment
  • Gitlab/Git
  • Scripting using Bash, Python etc.
  • Developing Infrastructure as Code using Ansible, Terraform, and Helm
  • Developing microservices
  • Building new test automation
  • Containerization concepts using Docker or Podman
  • Developing CI/CD pipelines specifically for Gitlab (using Gitlab Runners)
  • Deployment strategies using Helm
  • ELK/EFK, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Fluentd
  • AWS Console, AWS Services such as EC2, S3, and EKS, and Cloud Computing
  • Certificate Authorities and PKI
  • Kubernetes
  • Helm
  • Docker or Podman
  • Artifactory
  • Experience with Jira/ Confluence Atlassian tools

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
