EllisDon’s Software Engineering team is part of EllisDon’s Digital and Data Engineering division, an organization of 180+ people, that’s made up of Full-Stack Developers, Data Analysts, UX Designers, Product Owners, IT Operations, and we’re growing fast!

You as a Software Security Architect will:

  • Lead the security program for EllisDon’s construction management software and will develop a security-first culture within the organization. 
  • Partner with Architects, Software Engineering, QA, Analytics teams, DevOps, IT, Product Owners, UX and Tech Support, to drive and align with broader EllisDon security initiatives. 
  • Provide analysis and assessment of security risks and data, will advise on remediation priorities, and will follow through. 
  • Provide advice on compliance matters, guiding management and staff in maintaining a compliant and secure operational environment. 
  • Will be the focal point of contact for the SOC 2 certification of our software

This is the right role for you, if you have:

  • A university degree in Software Engineering, or equivalent. 
  • Expertise in software security concepts, tools and technologies, such as secure coding, threat modelling, SAST, DAST, encryption, authentication, etc. 
  • Excellence in translating business requirements into implementable security considerations, and ability to work with software engineering team and other stakeholders to make these reality. 
  • Excellence in navigating an enterprise towards SOC 2 and NIST certification. 
  • Excellence in communicating complex subjects regarding strategic and tactical cybersecurity processes to stakeholders of varying technical levels. 
  • Knowledge of a wide range of languages, technologies, and environments, such as JavaScript, Java, Golang, micro-services, REST API, MySQL, MongoDB, Azure, GCP, AWS, would be an asset.
