Senior Information Security Engineer

This position accounts for Information Security Engineer that specializes in Endpoint Protection. The person should have Working knowledge of endpoint protection methods and cybersecurity technologies, including adaptive technologies, antivirus, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.

The person is responsible for designing implementing and managing the security measures to protect our digital infrastructure from evolving cyber threats. This role requires someone who can independently troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, manage the entire lifecycle of endpoint security technologies, including deployment, maintenance, periodic upgrades, and compliance standards. The person should be able to conduct regular assessments of deployed security solutions to identify vulnerabilities and recommend, implement enhancements based on findings.

About the Position:

Join our committed Information Security team as an Information Security Engineer specializing in Endpoint Protection. In this vital role, you will design, implement, and manage security measures to protect our digital infrastructure from evolving cyber threats. You will be instrumental in ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our information assets, focusing on endpoint protection within a dynamic and challenging environment.

Responsibilities

· Design and implement robust security measures for endpoint protection to prevent, detect, and respond to cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

· Work closely with the cybersecurity team to ensure that policies, configurations, and tools are aligned with endpoint security standards and strategies.

· Independently troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, leveraging additional resources as necessary.

· Manage the entire lifecycle of endpoint security technologies, including deployment, maintenance, periodic upgrades, and compliance standards.

· Conduct regular assessments of deployed security solutions to identify vulnerabilities. Recommend and implement enhancements based on findings.

· Assist in managing vendor relationships, securing technical support, and staying informed on product roadmaps and compliance documentation.

· Create and maintain comprehensive support documentation, knowledgebase articles, and procedural playbooks.

· Support audit and governance activities by providing necessary documentation and evidence.

· Stay current with industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in endpoint security.

· Provide training and support to other team members to enhance team capabilities and knowledge.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

· Minimum of 4-year experience in Information Security, focusing on endpoint protection, preferably in a large financial services environment.

· Working knowledge of endpoint protection methods and cybersecurity technologies, including adaptive technologies, antivirus, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.

· In-depth operational experience with:

- Symantec Endpoint Security Complete, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint

- Carbon Black Response, Carbon Black Enterprise EDR

- Carbon Black Application Control

- FireEye HX Endpoint Security

- IBM Guardium

· Experience supporting software deployed on operating systems, including Windows Server, Windows Desktop, RHEL, Amazon Linux, and Mac OS.

· Experience using supporting technologies such as Excel, Powershell, Python, PowerBI, Power Automate, and Ansible.

· Familiarity with basic enterprise networking concepts, and virtualization technologies from VMware and Microsoft.

· Familiarity with SaaS and IaaS environments and hands-on experience remotely supporting solutions hosted in AWS, Azure, and colocation data centers.

· Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong analytical mindset.

· Outstanding communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, high-pressure environment.

Preferred Qualifications

· CISSP, CISM, or related cybersecurity credentials.

· Experience with financial industry regulatory compliance and familiarity with standards such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, or SOX.

· Experience and familiarity with common cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls, FFIEC IT
