Position Overview

Provide identity signature management (ISM) training and support to Special Operations Forces (SOF) consisting of lifecycle unit-specific support in accordance with DOD policies, instructions, and regulations.   

Responsibilities

The technician provides full scope ISM training as an instructor, develops and execute specified programs of instruction, provides awareness and familiarization briefings, collaborates and coordinates with DOD organizations and other government agencies in support of the ISM program strategic outreach objectives, requirements, and tasks.  Performs identity assessments and provides mitigation recommendations.  Conducts operational overwatch and develops mission-specific risk levels and reporting criteria for missions and personnel.  Drafts, coordinates, and promulgates identity management plans.   Coordinates with external organizations to enhance support to the customer by sharing and gathering current information on situations, intelligence cyber threats, lessons learned, emerging technology, data mapping, and other factors affecting ISM threat mitigation.  Maintain comprehensive knowledge and understanding of current and future SOF mission requirements to identify the best current and emerging resources regarding technology and IDDM.  Conduct adversarial threat analysis to evaluate and assess risks to operations and personnel.    

Required Qualifications

  • Education or experience in lieu of education:  Bachelor’s degree; or 10-years of military service; or 10-years of comparable civilian sector work experience 
  • Military/Government Training:  must have ATC, or APC and DDC, or ISMTC, or FOSS 
  • Experience:  Demonstrated experience in the following: 
  • Management/leadership 
  • SOF IDDM or comparable experience 
  • Military Instructor or Master Trainer

Preferred Qualifications

  • Military/government training:  Instructor or Master Trainer
  • Experience:  Demonstrated experience in the following: 
  • Management/leadership 
  • 5 years’ experience managing people and resources 
  • Excellent communications, influencing, and leadership skills 
  • Ability to delegate, promote teamwork, negotiate, and provide conflict management 
  • 5 years’ experience in Military instruction 
  • ISM experience 
  • 8 years’ experience as an ISM technician in direct support of DOD operations providing analytic assessments and recommended mitigations strategies for constructs, organizations, and assets. 
  • 5 years’ experience in performing identity assessment  
  • 8 years’ experience providing due diligence support for summits, review boards, requests, and incident reports 
  • 8 years’ experience in developing mitigation strategies to remediate vulnerabilities 
  • 5 years’ experience in briefing and directly supporting General and Flag Officers and Senior Executives 
  • 1 year of experience supporting/performing IDDM activities in the cyber domain 
  • 8 years of SOF experience
