Security Analyst (Hardware)

Job Summary:

The Security Analyst is responsible to maintain and oversee LUMA’s physical security functions, operations and processes focusing on the hardware and equipment that support installation, maintenance and replacement of devices, specific to physical security. This role is expected to demonstrate a high degree of personal integrity and discretion while maintaining confidentiality in daily activities.

Job Description:

• Work with the Corporate Security Team Leader to follow physical security policies and procedures, including but not limited to hardware acountability and maintenance of all LUMA’s Corporate Security property and assets owned, operated, managed or maintained. Retreval, installation, maintenance, and repairs of end devices, such as electronic access control card readers and closed-circuit television (CCTV) equipment.

• Implement remediation tasks based on Cyber Security’s assessed vulnerabilities, security gaps and risks in LUMA’s physical security functions, operations and procedures and make improvement recommendations specific to his technical area of expertise.

• Installation and configuration of IP CCTV systems and associated Access Control Systems.

• Evaluating signal quality and performance for CCTV and access control devices in coordination with LUMA’s Network team.

• Replacing and maintaining CCTV and electronic access control equipment.

• Writing daily and monthly reports regarding maintenance work provided.

• Maintain close communication with the Corporate Security Team Leader regarding any security matter that arises from its functions or assigned tasks.

• Basic knowledge and understanding of Puerto Rico and federal laws and regulations on law enforcement.

• Strong knowledge in MS Office applications such as, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook 

• Knowledge on established investigations procedures and methodologies 

• Fluent in the English and Spanish languages (read, speak and write) with the ability to communicate effective and promptly in either language as required 

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organization and with external parties as required 

• Follow all policies and procedures.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Perform major storm restoration work and associated drills as assigned.

Additional Job Description:

Education

• Minimum 2-year Technical IT diploma in telecommunications or related field.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as IT hardware technician to include troubleshooting: Electronic Access Control Systems and Closed-Circuit television (CCTV)

License/Certifications

• Valid driver’s license
