Job Title: Cyber Package Analyst, Mid-level

Department: Operations – Services

Reports To: RavenTek Program Manager

Location: Remote

Schedule: Monday – Friday 

Hours: Full-time, 40-hours/week

FLSA Status: Salary, Exempt

Clearance: Public Trust 


Position Summary

The Cyber Package Analyst, Mid-Level position will support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program, providing support to other Units and Offices within the VA to ensure the success of the program's mission. The performance of the Cyber Package Analyst, Mid-Level position is key to RavenTek’s performance on the EHRM contract, and therefore RavenTek’s mission to support the VA.


Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction of a Cyber Action Team lead and conduct cybersecurity work by performing modifications and reviews of existing ATO documentation and proactively providing insights into the documentation packages.
  • Will serve as a technical member of a Cyber Action Team and develop Authority to Operate and Authority to Connect (ATO/ATC) packages.
  • Write and/or modify technical artifacts to support a favorable ATO/ATC decision.
  • Track and monitor POA&Ms to escalate risks as appropriate.
  • Determine cybersecurity risks and threats present, document and monitor them, and escalate to leadership as appropriate.
  • Provide input to cybersecurity artifacts and technical briefings given to clients.
  • Enter actual time worked, once complete, at the end of the day, or no later than 10:00 a.m. the following workday, and submit timesheets at the end of each pay period.
  • Submit regular Status Reports as required by manager.
  • Monitor Raventek email on a regular basis, at least 2 times per week, and respond accordingly.
  • Complete required compliance training as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Critical Skills

  • Must have IT experience in the analysis, design, and integration of information systems and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software.
  • Must be well versed in understanding structured analysis and design methodologies for the translation of systems requirements from business needs.  
  • Must be able to evaluate cost factors and risk.
  • Must have the ability to work both independently and under supervision.

Education & Work Experience

  • 5+ years of professional work experience in a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required. 
  • An additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
  • Experience in the VA is preferred.
  • Experience implementing Electronic Health Records is preferred.

Special Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Work Environment

Employees will be working indoors in an office environment with other people. Potential moderate temperature fluctuations. Typical indoor and computer related noise level, and typical office, paper, and equipment related dust. Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis.
