Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, self-directed IT Security professional with expertise in Proofpoint to join our Cybersecurity Engineering and Operations team as an Email Security Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of email security (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and threat protection, as well as experience with Proofpoint's suite of products (EFD, TAP, TRAP, etc.). Additional cross-training opportunities for other security technologies & functions will be available.
This position will offer flexibility for hybrid work schedules to include a combination of both in-office presence and telecommute/virtual, and will be based in either Dallas or Houston, TX.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and enhance Proofpoint's email security and threat protection solutions
- Act as primary contact for managed service vendor
- Collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to develop and implement security policies and procedures
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and best practices
- Cross train to support our other security programs including vulnerability management
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS plus at least 4 years of relevant IT Security experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education (AS degree plus 6 years of relevant experience OR high school diploma plus 8 years of relevant experience)
- Proven experience with Proofpoint's suite of products (EFD, TRAP, TAP, POD)
- Strong understanding of email security and threat protection
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Exchange/M365 Exchange Online administration experience
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA Security+, SANS GIAC GSEC, ISC2 SSCP/CISSP, Azure Security Engineer Associate)
