Position: Senior Network Manager

Location: Richardson TX, Salt Lake City UT, Herndon VA OR Remote

Job Summary

Lead our network infrastructure team in collaborating, implementing, and maintaining robust network solutions that power our business operations. You'll oversee a team of engineers, drive strategic networking initiatives, and establish standards that balance performance, security, and scalability across our enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the network infrastructure strategy aligned with business objectives and IT roadmap
  • Lead a team of network engineers, providing technical guidance, career development, and performance management
  • Establish network architecture standards, policies, and procedures for enterprise-wide implementation
  • Oversee the design and implementation of complex network solutions including SD-WAN, BGP, OSPF, VPNs, and Zero Trust Security frameworks
  • Manage relationships with MSPs, vendors, and technology partners to maximize value and service quality
  • Direct network security initiatives including firewall management, threat mitigation, and compliance with NIST 800-171 and CMMC requirements
  • Optimize network performance, reliability, and availability through proactive monitoring and capacity planning
  • Lead IT disaster recovery planning and testing for network infrastructure components
  • Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets for network infrastructure

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in network administration and engineering
  • 3+ years in a network management or team leadership role
  • Current certification in networking (CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience with enterprise-grade routing, switching, wireless, and security technologies
  • Knowledge of cloud networking concepts in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments
  • Experience with network automation and orchestration tools
  • Demonstrated ability to lead incident response for critical network outages
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-171 and CMMC compliance frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

  • CISSP, AWS Networking Specialty, or Azure Network Engineer certification
  • Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) and intent-based networking
  • Background in implementing Zero Trust security architectures
  • Knowledge of programming/scripting (Python, Go) for network automation
  • Experience managing Ring Central VoIP systems and unified communications
  • Prior work in high-tech or government sector environments

Technical & Soft Skills

  • Expert knowledge of Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, or equivalent enterprise networking platforms
  • Proficiency with VPN technologies, firewall administration, and network security frameworks
  • Strong understanding of SD-WAN implementations and management
  • Experience with network performance monitoring and diagnostic tools
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills with ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities during critical network incidents
  • Strategic thinking with focus on business impact and ROI of network investments

Reporting Structure & Team Details

  • Reports to: Director of IT Operations
  • Team Size: Manages a team of 4-6 network engineers
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Works closely with Security, Development teams, IT Infrastructure, and Application teams

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary range: $150,000-$165,000 based on experience and qualifications

The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs. In addition to a base salary and bonus plans, Everfox offers a generous benefits package including flexible PTO, a 401k match, and contribution to healthcare coverages.
