DIRECTOR, INFORMATION SECURITY sought by Moelis & Company Group LP in New York, NY.

JOB DUTIES:

Responsible for monitoring and analyzing Moelis & Company’s information security vulnerability and risk profile using data and alerts generated from various systems; evaluating and remediating impact to the Firm resulting from the unauthorized access, use, modification, destruction, disclosure of Firm and / or client data, documents, work products, or formal records or information technology environment; and implementing and maintaining information security systems in the Firm’s global information technology environment. Assist in evaluating, selecting, and implementing new security technologies, as well as establishing processes and best practices. Specific duties include: 1) Perform continuous monitoring of the Firm’s information security systems, technologies, processes, and procedures, analyzing the findings and communicating exceptions, concerns and remedial steps to the Chief Information Officer as necessary. 2) Promptly report any and all exceptions to policies, procedures, and operational standards to the Chief Information Officer as necessary. 3) Implement the Firm’s information security threat management process, ensuring all aspects of an event are documented and remediated, and communicated to the Chief Information Officer. 4) Monitor and analyze security relevant logs, events, and alerts including, but not limited to, logs from systems, applications, SIEM, AV, Firewalls, and IPS; and document relevant incidents and suggest/co-ordinate appropriate remedial actions. 5) Design and manage security logging and SIEM programs for the firm’s computing systems; and in conjunction with Security Operations Center (SOC) provider, responsible for setting up a successful security monitoring program. 6) Coordinate with the SOC and various teams to investigate security events/incidents. 7) Analyze security appliance logs and respond to security incidents. 8) Participate in projects, programs, and initiative to ensure implementation of and adherence to the Firm’s information security technology policies, procedures, processes, and technologies. 9) Provide consultative direction, data analytics and advice regarding information security architectural standards, technologies, policies and procedures for all Firm offices and facilities. Duties also involve providing leadership with regards to audit responses, emerging regulatory requirements and industry practices worldwide; participating in quarterly briefing with executive management; recruiting and interviewing prospective staff for the team; planning and directing activities of junior staff; and vendor management. Oversee lower-level staff consisting of Security Engineer and Associates (Security and Information Governance).

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Requires four (4) years of IT security or related technical experience in the finance or banking industry.

Experience must include three (3) years of experience in cyber security; security domains including Endpoint protection, Incident response, Security Operations, Application and Data security, Infrastructure, Virtualization and Mobile Security.

*Specific skills: Also requires experience or knowledge in the following: 1) Knowledge of the industry standards, policies, processes, procedures, guidelines and technologies applicable to maintaining and supporting an information security program including regulations governing the global M&A market; 2) Experience with Malware Analysis, Security Intelligence and SIEM (Security Incident and Event Management); 3) Knowledge of Cyber Threat hunting and Incident Response; 4) Knowledge of vulnerabilities and threats that face cloud environments and SaaS solutions; 5) Experience working with structured design methodologies; and 6) Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell

The salary for this position in New York City is expected to be $219,440 per year. Base pay is based on market location & may vary based on experience, skills, education & other job-related reasons.
