Network Engineer
Tasks
- Conduct capacity planning
- Configure routers, switches, firewalls
- Document changes with ITIL change management
- Enforce firewall rules ACLs and intrusion prevention
- Implement VLANs VPNs QoS
- Implement network segmentation and Zero Trust
- Integrate hybrid cloud networking with AWS VPCs Azure VNets GCP
- Maintain network diagrams runbooks and topology maps
- Maintain network uptime
- Manage routing protocols
- Monitor network performance
- Optimize load balancing and failover
- Recommend hardware and vendor selection
- Resolve escalated tickets with root cause analysis
- Support PCI DSS HIPAA SOX compliance
- Support migrations and data center buildouts
- Troubleshoot network issues with packet analysis
- Upgrade firmware and apply patches
