About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and technically skilled Senior Manager Phishing Takedown to lead our global anti-abuse initiatives. In this mission-critical role, you will be responsible for building a high-trust takedown partner network, negotiating priority access agreements, and executing rapid, global phishing remediation workflows.

Youll work with top-tier domain registrars, TLD registries, tech platforms, and CDNs to ensure malicious domains are taken offline within hours. This is a senior leadership role where speed, precision, and influence are key.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner Management: Secure high-trust, direct takedown channels (APIs, abuse desks, whitelists) with major platforms including Google Safe Browsing, Microsoft Defender, Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, and key TLD operators.

  • Agreements & Negotiations: Negotiate Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), data-sharing agreements, and partnerships to ensure priority status and fast action on phishing incidents.

  • Workflow Design: Develop and enforce an end-to-end takedown workflow (detection verification escalation confirmation) under a strict < 6-hour SLA.

  • Team Leadership: Hire, manage, and mentor a team of partnership managers and abuse operations analysts. Own budget planning and team KPIs.

  • Threat Intelligence Integration: Integrate partner data feeds into our threat intel ecosystem. Collaborate closely with Legal, Security Operations Center (SOC), and engineering.

  • Industry Representation: Represent the company at global trust-and-safety events (APWG, FIRST, M3AAWG) and publish joint metrics with key partners.

Must-Have Experience & Skills

  • 8+ years in phishing takedown, abuse response, trust & safety, brand protection, or threat intelligence with documented rapid takedown results.

  • A strong personal network within registrar, CDN, and/or Big Tech abuse teams.

  • Expertise in DNS, WHOIS, registrar/registry policies, ICANN RAA, UDRP/URS, DMARC, SPF, and DKIM.

  • Proven success negotiating data-feed or API access for phishing/malware remediation.

  • Experience in project leadership including hiring, budgeting, KPI development, and executive reporting.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to drive partner and regulatory action under pressure.
