Position Title:                   Senior Global Security Administrator

Department:                     Information Technology

Reports To:                       Director of Information Technology (Temporarily until Sr. Manager of Corporate Security & Infrastructure is hired).

Location:                           Guelph, ON (Hybrid)

Position Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Global Security Administrator to join our Corporate Security team. This role will focus on ensuring the security and integrity of our cloud and cyber infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud security and cybersecurity, with relevant certifications and a proven track record of securing complex IT environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage security solutions for cloud and cyber infrastructure.
  • Conduct security assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential threats.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into all aspects of the company’s operations.
  • Stay current with emerging security trends, technologies, and threats, and recommend proactive measures to enhance security posture.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior security engineers.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on security status, incidents, and improvements to senior management.

Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual will perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cloud security and cybersecurity.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
  • Experience with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
  • Proven ability to manage and secure cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent are required.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
