Job Duties
The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services’ (DBHDS) Office of Information Security is seeking four (4) highly skilled professionals to implement and manage the Enterprise Information Security Program, by providing support for DBHDS Central Office and facility locations. These positions will provide guidance on security and privacy issues to all levels of agency staff; manage security activities in risk management, resource provisioning, disaster planning and recovery, application security, incident management and data preservation, user training and physical security; and interact with DBHDS IT, Central Office, and facility staff to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of DBHDS facility resources and information. These positions will also regularly handle confidential and protected information; keep current with federal, state, agency, and other regulatory agents’ plans, policies, regulations, requirements, and standards; regularly interact with facility and agency users, agency or external senior management and/or representatives, including Commonwealth Security and Risk Management (CSRM), the Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA), and Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in the fields of Information Security and/or Information Technology. Knowledge of security in a government environment where a third party performs infrastructure services. Knowledge and understanding of information technology and security including operational security, applications security, physical security, management, and strategic planning. Superior oral and written communications skills. Security experience in a technical environment that primarily includes Office 365, Cloud applications, Vendor Hosted Apps, Firewalls, Active Directory, Virtual Private Networks, Windows, SQL Server, and industry standard programming languages. Knowledge of federal, state, agency, and other regulatory agents’ policies, regulations, plans, standards, laws, etc.
Additional Considerations
Experience with Electronic Health Records and HIPAA. Industry standard certifications such as Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or the ability to become professionally or COV certified within one year required.
