The Basics:

As a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Operator, you will report to Tanium’s Global Security Operations Manager, and will be part of a team of highly skilled GSOC Operators who are responsible for assisting Tanium employees with all concerns related to safety and security globally.  You will use a variety of systems and tools to detect, analyze, and alert others of incidents which may impact Tanium interests domestically and abroad. Our ideal candidate will be an experienced security professional that is proactive, motivated, customer service oriented, and who can work as a member of a team to provide safety and security for all Tanium employees, visitors, and assets. 

What you’ll do:

  • Incorporate Tanium Mission and Values into all decisions and actions. 
  • Responsible for making real-time operational decisions that affect the safety and security of the company. 
  • Manage badge access administration for employees, vendors, and contractors at all global locations.  
  • Monitor access control and video management systems to detect potential threats for all domestic and international locations.  
  • Monitor, analyze, and assess security operations, risks and potential impact to provide up-to-date and relevant information related to the protection of Tanium employees and assets.  
  • Use global monitoring systems and open-source information to identify, track and monitor emerging geopolitical, terrorism, health and other related safety and security risks and trends. 
  • Rapidly develop clear, concise assessments of potential security incidents and draft incident briefs and communications throughout incident lifecycles. 
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication with other Global Security team members and Tanium employees.  
  • Communicate GSOC specific training needs, ideas, scenarios, and trainee feedback to the Global Security Operations Manager and actively participate in required training. 
  • Monitor and update travel tracking tools as well as location specific safety and security issues. 
  • Uses good judgment and discretion in handling sensitive or confidential information. 
  • Investigative and inquisitive mindset with the desire to help support the Global Security Department. 
  • Must be willing and able to adapt responsibilities with the evolving needs of the business as assigned by Global Security Leadership. 

We’re looking for someone with:

Education 

  • BA/BS and/or equivalent work experience required. 

Experience 

  • 5+ years combined Government, Military, Law Enforcement, and/or security experience required. 
  • Specialty training or experience in Global Security, Corporate Security, Risk Management, Investigations & Intelligence, or Security Systems and Technology. 

Professional Training / Certification 

  • Valid State driver’s license required.  
  • Valid National CPR/First Aid/AED card. 

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Prior experience using access control, video management, and global monitoring systems 
  • Extensive experience in security, safety, incident response, crisis management, emergency management, and customer service 
  • Proven ability to analyze problems, create solutions, and communicate effectively 
  • Confidence in ability to work autonomously each shift and during incident or crisis situations as they occur 
  • Authorized to work in U.S.

What you’ll get

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $45,000 to $140,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience. This position is classified as non-exempt and eligible for overtime pay as required by law.

In addition to an annual base salary, team members will receive equity awards and a generous benefits package consisting of medical, dental and vision plan, family planning benefits, health savings account, flexible spending account, transportation savings account, 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match, life, accident and disability coverage, business travel accident insurance, employee assistance programs, disability insurance, and other well-being benefits.
