Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform post-sales implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting of cybersecurity products and solutions at client sites.

• Carry out scheduled maintenance activities and respond to service requests or incident reports in a timely and professional manner.

• Ensure the reliability and availability of security systems through routine health checks and updates.

• Provide on-site support for hardware and software issues, including liaising with third-party vendors when required.

• Offer guidance to customers on best practices for preventive maintenance and optimal configurations to enhance system performance.

• Document implementation procedures, maintenance logs, issue resolutions, and system configurations.

• Support escalations and coordinate with the internal SOC, engineering, or project teams as necessary.

• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through responsive, effective, and professional communication and service delivery.

• Stay up to date with new cybersecurity technologies and practices to continuously improve service delivery quality.
   

Required Skills and Experience:

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity implementation or support roles.

• Working knowledge of network security tools, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection, SIEM, or similar technologies.

• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and common protocols (HTTP, SSL, DNS, etc.).

• Ability to analyze and resolve straightforward technical problems using standard guidelines and best practices.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work directly with clients in a professional setting.

• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
   

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

• Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CCNA Security, or vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto, etc.) are an advantage.
