Our work depends on an Automated Test Engineer joining our team to design and implement automated testing solutions to ensure application quality, security, and performance across environments. This role includes integration of test strategies into a robust CI/CD pipeline and working closely with DevOps, cybersecurity, and cloud engineering teams.
HOW AN AUTOMATED TEST ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Test Automation & System Validation
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts
Perform system, integration, regression, performance, and security testing of cloud-based applications.
Execute automated and manual testing across multiple environments
Validate APIs and back-end components
Cloud Migration Testing
Ensure application functionality, data integrity, and system compatibility during lift-and-shift migration to a new cloud environment
Support infrastructure-as-code (IaC) testing
CI/CD & DevSecOps Integration
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines
Ensure test results are visible and actionable in build pipelines with reporting dashboards
Security & Compliance
Implement security testing procedures to support compliance with NIST 800-53
Collaborate with cybersecurity and risk teams to remediate vulnerabilities and meet ATO (Authority to Operate) requirements.
Documentation & Collaboration
Document test cases, test plans, and test results
Work closely with cross-functional teams
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
● Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
● Required Technical Skills: automated and system testing in cloud environments, test automation frameworks and scripting languages.
● Security Clearance Level: Must have or to be able to obtain a Public Trust.
● Preferred Skills: Experience with cloud migration projects, particularly lift-and-shift efforts and CI/CD tools. AWS Certification.
● Location: Remote
