Information Security Risk Manager

Location: Portugal

Role

As an Information Security Risk Manager at IQVIA, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our IT systems and information assets. You’ll be at the forefront of establishing and maintaining a robust risk management program that ensures compliance with regulatory and industry standards while fostering a secure digital environment.

In this position, you’ll proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate security risks, collaborating across business units and departments to strengthen our security posture. Responsibilities

  • Lead risk assessments, self-assessments, and compliance reviews to continuously enhance our security framework.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, operational, and IT security policies, partnering with stakeholders to address compliance challenges.
  • Develop and implement remediation strategies, driving security issues to closure and preventing future vulnerabilities.
  • Identify and analyze complex security risks and exposures, designing effective solutions to mitigate threats.
  • Monitor and enhance our risk management program, leading process improvements and managing risk exceptions.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to align IQVIA's integrated control framework with industry standards like NIST CSF, COBIT, and HIPAA.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information security, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Substantial experience in information security risk management.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, compliance standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • At least one professional certification (CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CRISC preferred).
  • Fluent English
