Technology and Cyber Risk Analyst (2LoD), London, Permanent 

The role of Technology and Cyber Risk Analyst involves serving as the second line of defence in identifying technology and cyber-related risks, offering specialised knowledge as needed, and aiding in the upkeep and implementation of our risk management frameworks, procedures, and reporting to enhance our comprehension and management of technology-related risks.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide analytical support in respect of Technology & Cyber risk to the Senior Technology Risk Manager and Head of Risk Oversight & Assurance (2LoD)
  • Support the implementation of industry recognised frameworks, such as NIST, CIR (CAF)
  • Provide input into the review of Technology and cyber risks
  • Support technology issue management and risk acceptance processes together with associated aggregation and reporting activities
  • Support Pay.UK’s incident & event reporting processes, identifying and reporting on themes highlighted through fix details and root cause analysis
  • Advocate effective risk culture to stakeholders through training and awareness materials, sharing best practice in clear easy to understand language
  • Maintain full awareness of and adherence with the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) as well as other relevant Technology, Information System and frameworks.

 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience 

  • Understanding of technology & cyber risk in either a first or second line of defence capacity, together with a knowledge and understanding of information security control environments
  • Experience of changing, building, and operating industry good practice Technology Risk Management Frameworks
  • Knowledge or experience of technology practices/frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, NIST
  • Proficient in the use of Excel and Power BI
  • Ability to interface with stakeholders effectively to establish relationships
  • An ability to apply technical knowledge in a practical and balanced manner
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage own workload in a challenging environment.
