Job Title: Journeyman Policy Audit Support
Clearance Required: Public Trust
Work Location: Hybrid in Alexandria, VA

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified and experienced Journeyman Policy Audit Support to join our team. In this mid-level role, you will plan, implement, upgrade, and monitor security measures to protect computer networks and information. You will ensure the appropriate security controls are in place to safeguard critical digital assets and vital electronic infrastructure. Additionally, you will play a key role in responding to security breaches and virus incidents, maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide audit and compliance support by assisting in the preparation and delivery of responses to PBC (Provided by Client) requests from auditors.
• Ensure audit responses are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
• Participate in audit-related demonstrations as needed.
• Write, review, and evaluate code in PowerShell, VBA, Java, Python, and SQL to support IT operations and automation efforts.
• Maintain software and infrastructure components that support IT security operations.
• Conduct daily and weekly account monitoring to identify and report account discrepancies.
• Handle account approvals, deactivations, and deletions in line with security and compliance protocols.
• Develop and maintain procedural documentation for FISMA compliance and account monitoring activities.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience/Skills:

• 3–5 years of experience in information security or related fields. Proven track record of implementing and monitoring security measures.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in network security tools, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection solutions. Familiarity with SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat analysis, and mitigation strategies. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Certification(s):

• Certifications (Preferred): CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CEH, or similar certifications.

Salary and Benefit Information:

The likely salary range for this position is $xxx- $95,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
