Job Description

At Vattenfall, we don’t just “do energy”, we exist to help our customers power their lives in ever climate smarter ways. If you are looking for interesting challenges and the opportunity to be part of this change, then join our diverse and talented team and make a difference.

Our Operational Unit (OU) Operations is looking for the right person to fill the position as

Head of Security & Resilience

for our offices in Hamburg and Stockholm.

About the Security & Resilience Function

The Security & Resilience unit is part of the Change Efficiency & Effectiveness (CEE) department, which serves as the central hub for managing change initiatives, driving the Agile transformation, and overseeing the Security function within BA Markets.

The CEE department consists of three units:

  • Initiative Management & Planning
  • Business Analysis & Enablement
  • Security & Resilience

The Security & Resilience function is responsible for owning, developing, and implementing the local (BA-level) Security Management System, which builds on the Group Security Management System and follows a risk-based approach.

Our work is guided by the Security Management Cycle, through which we develop and execute an annual Security Plan based on identified and prioritised risks. This plan helps us progress toward our long-term strategic security objectives and vision.

We cover all aspects of security and resilience relevant to BA Markets and operate in accordance with several key regulations, including Protective Security, NIS-2, CER, KRITIS, and NCCS.

A core part of our role is to support and advise change initiatives within the Business Area on security-related topics—such as security sensitivity and risk assessments—and to propose appropriate mitigation measures.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Own and continuously develop the Local Management System for BA Markets.
  • Lead and strengthen the Security & Resilience function within the business area.
  • Develop and implement a risk-based Security Plan aligned with both Group and BA Security & Resilience objectives, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Drive security awareness initiatives across the organisation.
  • Plan and deliver regular training and awareness sessions on Business Continuity and Crisis Management.
  • Ensure active engagement in Group Security Forums and represent BA Markets effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Change Efficiency & Effectiveness, who also serves as the Business Area Security Officer (BASO).
  • Lead and support a team of six employees based in Stockholm and Hamburg, fostering professional growth and collaboration.

Qualifications

Your profile:

  • Strong and broad expertise in the field of Security and Resilience.
  • Proven experience in working systematically and risk-based with Security Management Systems.
  • A skilled people manager with a genuine interest in leading and developing experienced, senior colleagues.
  • Excellent networking and collaboration skills, enabling you to build strong relationships across Business Areas, with Group functions, and external stakeholders such as authorities.
