About the role: ​

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Managing Consultant to lead our Security Testing practice, with a strong emphasis on complex offensive security engagements, particularly Red Team operations. This role plays a pivotal part in delivering high-impact security assessments, driving innovation, and enhancing BSI’s presence in the cybersecurity space.

You will represent BSI externally through industry talks, events, and thought leadership, while internally driving service innovation, operational efficiency, and strategic growth aligned with emerging technologies and client needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Advanced Red Team Operations: Design and deliver sophisticated Red Team engagements simulating real-world adversaries, including physical, phishing, and social engineering elements.

• Drive Innovation & Service Development: Identify and develop new offensive security service lines driven by emerging technologies (e.g., cloud-native architectures, containers, zero trust), enhancing operational efficiency via streamlined methodologies and automation.

• Mentorship & Technical Leadership: Provide subject matter expertise, mentor team members, and contribute to the continual development of our technical capability and service delivery quality.

• Strategic Engagements: Scope and lead complex security testing projects tailored to each client’s business context, risk appetite, and threat landscape.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Practice Leadership to shape go-to-market strategies, support pre-sales engagements, and refine service offerings.

• Market Representation: Actively promote BSI’s security testing capabilities via conferences, webinars, whitepapers, and internal Town Halls.

About You – Skills & Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is essential; postgraduate qualifications (MSc, MBA, etc.) in business, engineering, security, or related fields are highly desirable.

• CHECK Team Leader (CTL) or equivalent Red Team certifications (e.g., CREST CCT, OSCP/OSCE/OSCE3, CRTO, etc.) required to support regulated engagements and tenders.

Technical & Consulting Expertise

• Red Teaming: Design and execute realistic, goal-driven Red Team assessments. Evaluate detection and response capabilities and develop actionable recommendations. Clearly communicate findings to both technical and executive stakeholders.

• Penetration Testing: Conduct hands-on testing across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments. Provide contextual, business-aligned recommendations to improve security posture.

• Vulnerability Management: Perform ongoing assessments and threat research. Select and apply the most appropriate tools and techniques for vulnerability analysis.

• Client Engagement & Communication: Build and maintain long-term, trust-based client relationships. Translate complex technical findings into clear, business-aligned guidance.

• Strategic Innovation & Practice Development: Contribute to strategic initiatives within the security testing function. Continuously improve internal tools, playbooks, and methodologies.

• Commercial Awareness & Business Development: Monitor market trends, assess competitors, and identify opportunities for growth. Shape and contribute to proposals, and communicate value through risk-based mitigation planning.
