This is a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and security of our data centre operations and corporate network. As Cyber Security Manager, you’ll be at the heart of protecting our critical infrastructure, our customers, and our reputation. You’ll report directly to the Head of IT & Cyber Security and will regularly present cybersecurity concerns, updates and policy changes via comprehensive dashboards and detailed reports. You will also communicate regularly with our customers and external auditors, working in a close-knit team who are all deeply passionate about cyber security.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Manage the company’s daily cyber security operations, ensuring that physical and cyber security measures are fully aligned across all data centres and the corporate network.
• Review and advise on our cyber security posture, updating the Head of IT & Cyber Security on any changes required.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams and third-party IT contractors to maintain robust security systems.
• Collaborate with the legal team and Head of IT & Cyber Security to write, review and update company cyber security policies.
• Administer regular cybersecurity audits, both internally and with external auditors, adhering to standards such as ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus and NIST.
• Conduct regular cybersecurity training for all employees and ensure completion of mandatory modules, using our training platforms.
• Work closely with security teams at our data centres to maintain a secure and reliable infrastructure.
• Engage with the procurement team to perform supply chain risk assessments and assist with supplier onboarding, ensuring compliance with our cyber policies through our third-party risk platform.
• Monitor Cyber Security logs and events, ensuring that alerts are promptly addressed by data centre teams or third-party contractors.
• Maintain accurate asset records and ensure patches and updates are applied across the estate within SLAs.
• Perform horizon scanning of threats and proactively monitor and protect against emerging risks.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Skills
• Communication: Proven experience of engaging and communicating effectively (spoken and written) across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Collaboration: A strong track record of using collaboration to deliver and contribute to wider team empowerment and value.
• Innovation: A demonstrable record of problem-solving to improve ways of working or achieve established outcomes.
• Continuous Improvement: Evidence of investing in your own (and others’) skills and experience, adding tangible business value.
• Leadership: The ability to lead by example, understanding your own impact and responsibility, and bringing others along on the journey.
Qualifications and Experience
• At least five years’ experience in a similar role within a medium-sized company.
• Proven experience of working with internal IT teams and third-party IT contractors.
• Experience of managing cybersecurity within data centres (desirable).
• A track record of successfully integrating global systems.
• Experience of conducting internal and external audits.
• CISM or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, firewalls, and network systems.
• Experience of OT systems, particularly in protecting them against cyber threats.
• Proficiency in creating insightful dashboards and reports, capable of translating technical information for non-technical audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, external partners, and customers.
• Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity audits, including ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus and NIST.
