HR Compliance Officer
Description
• Attend and prepare supporting documentation (papers and MI) for the Conduct Committee, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
• Partner with stakeholders to review and update policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with legislative trends and organizational needs.
• Collaborate with Operations team to align compliance efforts and controls
• Lead audits, reporting, and governance for compliance-related initiatives, including data analysis and presentation of findings.
• Ensure appropriate data security controls are in place for the protection of sensitive personnel data.
• Identify vulnerabilities and risks related to data handling and collaborate with the cyber security team and data protection team to address these proactively.
• Serve as a liaison between cyber security, IT and the data protection team to ensure smooth communication and collaboration during the lifespan of the People Technology Transformation.
• Provide support in data cleansing and migration activities, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Ensure compliance with Lockton’s cyber security and data protection policies.
• Support and advise the People Technology implementation team on country-by-country data compliance and data residency regulations, liaising with data protection and cyber security teams as required.
• Work closely with Legal, Compensation, Payroll, and other teams to address compliance training and updates.
• Lead governance impacted projects and support the change management efforts required.
• Work closely with the first- and second-line Compliance Teams in the execution of agreed activities
• Evolve and implement the appropriate SM&CR processes for the effective management of the SM&CR regime within the LLP
• Ensure the appropriate execution and recording of the annual certification process, including support and monitoring of SM&CR individuals and issuing certificates.
• Manage the appropriate systems and relevant data production including identifying business process / systems enhancements and improvements.
• Support the business and the HRBP’s in their responsibility for identifying relevant Associates under the SM&CR through the recruitment, change and leaving processes.
• Lead on SM&CR regulatory development initiatives to utilise key knowledge, experience and skills.
• Provide relevant training to SMF holders and Certified individuals, the HRBPs and any line managers to assist in the execution of their duties.
Support the continuous improvement of the Compliance landscape to drive best practice across the LLP.
Candidate Profile
· Ability to create SM&CR processes that are simple and easy to follow
· Ability to work across the Business and Shared Services including, compliance, cyber security and data protection.
· Have gravitas and confidence to deliver training across all levels of Associates, including Partners, effectively.
· Be excited about creating an effective approach to SM&CR and data compliance.
· Have excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
· Have a proven ability to communicate effectively with Partners and Associates at all levels.
· Be able to demonstrate an ability to build productive working relationships.
· Appropriate training qualification
· Working with senior stakeholders in a global business
· SM&CR experience within the Insurance sector
· Core experience of delivering SM&CR development initiatives
· Knowledge of programme planning and execution
· Knowledge of financial services / insurance markets.
· Skill in handling conflict and uncertain situations
· Skill in handling multiple tasks and prioritising.
· Skill in facilitating training sessions and meetings.
· Skill in communicating orally and in writing, particularly with business leaders and the compliance community.
· Skill in adopting an innovative approach to SM&CR delivery
About The Position
Working with Compliance to provide support to the Regional HR Lead, UK & Europe in the execution of the Prescribed Responsibilities under SM&CR, to manage the annual certification process and to provide year-round training to SMF holders, to Certified Partners and Associates and all other Associates on their responsibilities under the Certification Regime.
Support the People Function with all elements of agreed Governance and controls, serving as a liaison between cybersecurity, IT and the data protection team.
