Security Architect

Role Overview:

In this role, you will be responsible for analysing the security posture of McAfee’s cloud products, cloud environments or third-party SaaS services.
This will include validating that our services, products, websites, and any integrations with/to external parties’ services are designed and implemented to the highest security standards. A deep understanding of cloud security architecture, cloud security best practices, compliance and regulatory frameworks is required.

It is critical a McAfee Security Architect keeps up to date with the latest technologies and has the skills to identify security gaps, remediation, mitigation techniques and guardrails ensuring McAfee’s systems are built and maintained to the highest security standards.

This is a position located Ireland. You may be required to be onsite on an as-needed basis in either Dublin or Cork. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance to one of the two locations and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About the Role:

• Ensuring cloud solutions are built to be compliant with the relevant compliance and regulatory frameworks.
• Conduct regular security assessments to analyse solutions and services security posture.
• Evaluate security architectures and designs to determine the adequacy of security design.
• Identify security gaps and recommend remediating or mitigating security controls, guardrails.
• Evaluate SaaS platforms and integrations to determine the adequacy of security design.
• Perform security tasks including (but not limited to) threat modelling, knowledge transfer sessions and training.
• Continuously Identify and recommend guardrails that can be implemented across various Cloud Service Providers (CSP)
• Champion security across the organization.
• Collaborate with security champions and other security teams to deliver security solution
• Collaborating with business units to ensure the security of the McAfee’s data and systems.
• Keep up to date with the latest security trends, threats, and latest technologies.
• Contribute to the creation/upkeep of documentation of cloud security policies, security principles, and procedures.

About You:

• At least 5 years of working experience within cloud security architecture domain.
• Knowledge of cloud security with any of the major Cloud Service Providers (CSP); Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience of cloud native security guardrails, security services and third-party security tools.
• Knowledge of cloud networking architecture and network security.
• Knowledge of cloud IAM security including, authentication, authorization.
• Knowledge of application security including protocols, cryptography.
• Understanding of cloud automation and orchestration tools and techniques.
• Passionate about cloud security  
• Possess self-drive to keep moving things forward even in the face of ambiguity and imperfect knowledge.
• Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
• Strives to keep up to date with the latest best practices, standards, and technologies.
• Demonstrable teamwork skills and resourcefulness.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Currently holds any cloud security related certifications like AWS certified security, ISC2 CCSP or CSA CCSK is strongly desired.
• Experience in containers and orchestration solutions like Kubernetes is strongly desired.
