What you'll be doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Supplier Risk Management team within Third Party Governance Office. You’ll be on the front lines of building the future of information security at CIBC. As a Supplier Risk Management Consultant, you’ll assess 3rd party vendors for security risks and present recommendations that allow the business to make informed decisions. You’ll provide insight and support to build policies and procedures that safeguard our clients, enhance risk management, and enable our success.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote

How you'll succeed

  • Third-Party Risk Management - Aid in the management and execution of Supplier Risk Management's Third-Party Risk program which includes conducting third party due diligence, ongoing monitoring and investigations of third parties.

  • Security Assessments – Leverage your expertise in Information Security Management to prepare and conduct assessments for Third party engagements. Participate in audit reviews  and reviews of third-party contracts. Use your knowledge of processes, tools, techniques, and practices for assuring consistency to standards associated with accessing, altering, and protecting organizational data.

  • Administrative Support - Manage requests from various stakeholders and ensure adherence to key deadlines, policies and controls. Assist in the updating, development and documentation of processes and SharePoint files. Contribute and participate in enhancements to the Archer application and agile ceremonies.

  • Collaborate and communicate  with various risk associates  across the enterprise to ensure proper holistic assessments. Leverage interpersonal and communication skills to convey or present factual and conceptual information on issues which require detailed explanation and interpretation.

  • Governance Support – Proactively contribute to governance initiatives, providing technical and business advice, as well as insight on management processes.

  • You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information. You're confident in your ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way.

  • Your influence makes an impact. You know that relationships and networks are essential to success. You inspire outcomes by making yourself heard.

  • You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. You have at least five years of experience as an Information Security Consultant or a similar role.

  • You’re a certified professional. It’s an asset if you have your CISSP, CIA, or CISM designation.
