Job Description: IT Cyber Defense Analyst - Intern

Location: Remote (Pune-Baroda, India)

Department: IT Cybersecurity / Security Operations Center (SOC)

Reports To: SOC Manager

About the Role

We’re seeking a curious, driven, and detail-oriented Intern SOC Analyst to join our Security Operations Center. This is an exciting opportunity to gain real-world experience in cyber threat monitoring, incident response, and security tools — all while learning from a world-class team.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time security events and alerts via SIEM, EDR and SOAR tools
• Perform initial triage and escalate incidents as required
• Assist with incident documentation and reporting
• Participate in threat intelligence and daily briefings
• Support SOC analysts with log analysis and research
• Learn to identify phishing, malware, and intrusion patterns
• Help create or refine SOC playbooks and procedures

Requirements

• Completed a degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field
• Any previous internship experience in SOC/Cyber Defense will be a plus
• Basic understanding of networking, Windows/Linux systems, and Cybersecurity concepts
• Familiarity with the following is a plus: SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, SOAR, Firewalls
• Willingness to learn, detail-oriented, and quick thinker under pressure
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Availability to work in rotational shifts including night
• Flexible with week off days. No fix off Saturday and Sunday
