As a premier Solution Engineering (pre-sales) team, we operate across Northern Europe, serving Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, Luxembourg, and The Netherlands.


Role Description

The Northern Europe Technical Architect is a customer-facing specialist position within the Solutions Engineering organization. With a blend of business, technical, and sales skills, the Technical Architect acts as a domain expert who utilizes a consultative approach to understand business and technical requirements. Technical Architects help the sales teams develop and refine a customer-centric technical sales strategy and Salesforce-solution fit.

As a Technical Architect, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to our customers, guiding them through Agentforce, Data Cloud, CRM, and Platform solutions, ensuring they realize the full value of the platform. You’ll combine deep technical domain expertise in Data/AI/ML, data infrastructure, and CRM with strong presentation and solutioning skills. Working side by side with our Account Executives and Solutions Engineers, you will:

Provide technical leadership during pre-sales engagements by assessing customer use cases, recommending optimal solutions, and shaping the overall technical vision.

  • Champion best practices around Data/AI/ML, data integrations, security, and the Salesforce platform to drive innovation and customer adoption.
  • Create and deliver relevant content—demos, videos, white-papers, enablement sessions—to both internal and external audiences, establishing yourself as a leader with vision.
  • Build and present Proof of Concepts within sandbox environments to highlight the value of agents and unified customer data with real-world use cases.
  • Understand a customer’s risk, security, or compliance concerns and communicate how Salesforce’s infrastructure, architecture, and application features can address these concerns.
  • Understand current and emerging cybersecurity risks and innovative risk management methods and eloquently communicate them to customers.
  • Partner with sales teams to remove security and compliance as a blocker by speaking to CISOs, CIOs, and other key decision-makers.


Your Impact

  • Tackle Complex Problems: Research customer challenges, architect innovative solutions, and drive key technical decisions.
  • Drive Adoption & Value: Promote platform adoption by driving additional business use cases with the customer.
  • Showcase Real-World Solutions: Partner with Sales and Solutions Engineering to build compelling demos and prototypes that illustrate immediate ROI and practical use.
  • Facilitate Workshops: Orchestrate targeted workshops that drive technical approaches and best practices aligned with the customer's defined business objectives and priorities.
  • Develop Cross-Platform Solutions: Integrate Data Cloud, CRM, analytics tools, and cloud services (REST APIs, SDKs, data pipelines) into scalable, cohesive architectures.
  • Lead Technical Thought Leadership: Produce best-practice documentation, architectural diagrams, and enablement materials that highlight emerging AI trends and Agentforce innovations.
  • Learn & Tinker: Continually participate in product, sales, and training/certifications to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective in the position.
  • Security: Be a field expert for the Salesforce trust story covering security, architecture, reliability, performance, privacy, and compliance.
  • Travel: Willing and able to travel to customers or Salesforce offices.


Qualifications & Experience

  • A deep passion for working with the latest, cutting-edge technologies.
  • Experience with cloud, SaaS, PaaS, aPaaS, and IaaS concepts and technologies.
  • Familiarity with integration, security, and architecture patterns and expertise in designing and implementing data integrations across various systems.
  • Proven experience presenting and demonstrating to senior business and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in facilitating and leading customer-focused workshops.
  • Hands-on work with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), agent-based frameworks, and prompt engineering is a strong plus.
  • Consultancy, development, and/or implementation experience is a strong plus.
  • Solid experience with the Salesforce Platform (Platform Application Development experience would be a plus).
  • Familiarity with one or more security and regulatory frameworks and trainings: NIST 800-53, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, CCSP or CISSP is a plus
