Job Description

Position Purpose:
The ICT Network and Systems Engineer is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting the St John ICT network infrastructure and associated systems. This role works closely within the Technology Infrastructure team and with the wider ICT team to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing technology services across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the organisation’s ICT network environment, ensuring high levels of service availability and performance.

  • Provide senior-level technical support for issues escalated through the Service Desk.

  • Monitor and analyse system performance, performing preventative maintenance as required.

  • Assist with planning, design, and implementation of new infrastructure and services.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of ICT service delivery, processes, and policies.

  • Provide quality technical advice and assurance to internal stakeholders and project teams.

  • Participate in project work relating to the development and enhancement of ICT services.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of network systems and configurations.

  • Support Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity initiatives and ensure preparedness.

  • Mentor and support other ICT team members to build internal capability.

  • Promote and uphold health, safety, and wellbeing practices within the ICT environment.

  • Contribute proactively to team meetings and service enhancement initiatives.

  • Perform additional duties as required in line with organisational needs.

Qualifications

  • Certifications in MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, JNCIA
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar
