Working as a Support Network Security Engineer
Since 2022, SCRT and Telsys have been acquired by Orange Cyberdefense, and are thus part of and supported by a global group of more than 3000 cybersecurity specialists worldwide.
In order to strengthen our delivery capabilities, we are currently looking for a Network Security Engineer to join our team, immediately or by arrangement.
Integrated into the OCD Switzerland Support team, you will primarily be involved in the operational management of firewalls in an MSSP (Managed Security Services Provider) context, as well as handling incidents and requests via ITSM.
You will be a key player in security and network support, alert management, and the supervision of client equipment.
Your responsibilities include:
- Level 2/3 technical support for security and network incidents
- Administration and supervision of client firewalls (MSSP Firewall)
- Handling security alerts (via ticketing and monitoring tools)
- Traffic analysis, rule review, detection of abnormal behavior, recommendations
- Participation in the on-call duty rotation
- Contribution to technical projects (migration, deployment, rule review)
- Documentation of procedures and continuous service improvement
- You hold a CFC in Information Technologies or an equivalent qualification and already have professional experience in the network and/or security fields.
- You have significant hands-on experience with Fortinet solutions, including at minimum FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer. An active NSE4 or higher (e.g., NSE7) certification is a strong asset. In addition, you have solid experience with Palo Alto Networks technologies, particularly PAN-OS and Panorama. Holding an active PCNSA and/or PCNSE certification is considered a strong advantage.
- You have a solid understanding of computer network principles, protocols and technologies as well as common enterprise infrastructures. You are also familiar with common security principles and have a good knowledge of security-related protocols (e.g. TLS).
- You are willing to learn and evolve in a technically sharp and interesting environment, dealing with challenging and stimulating issues and can demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You are capable of monitoring security trends and considering specific customers’ requirements in order to deliver advanced configurations and ensure that our solutions are designed and implemented to the highest standards.
- You have good spoken and written communication skills and can write useful documentation and reports. You can demonstrate initiative and work on projects with minimal supervision. Also, you are a team player with an open mind and a constructive mindset.
- You are Swiss Resident, and have a driving license.
