Job Title: Information Security Intern

Primary Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Employee Status: Part Time Hourly

Estimated Hours/Week: 20-25

About this Position:

The Information Security Internship role will be responsible for assisting LMCU's Information Security team in executing daily operational functions helping identify and reduce information security vulnerabilities to the credit union.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assisting with responding to daily Information Security tickets and providing appropriate solutions.

  • Conducting audits pertaining to Information Security including system password review/risk assessments, reviewing documentation for vendor management and conducting user access reviews to verify assigned user access matches access required for their assigned role.

  • Assisting with internal security functions such as employee phishing campaigns and password cracking.

  • Assisting with other projects as assigned.

What You'll Bring:

  • College student at freshmen, sophomore, junior, senior or master level status or a recent college graduate within the last 3 months.

  • Degree major in Business, IT Security or a related field of study.

  • Interest in pursuing a career in Information Security.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks at one time and is very detail-oriented.
