Digital Product Security Specialist 

  

SKF has a diverse portfolio of digital solutions for the external market where cybersecurity is becoming more and more important driven by both business and legal requirements. This role is focused on the security of SKF’s digital hardware and software solutions as part of the Global Product Security function.

As Digital Product Security Specialist you will drive development and rollout of services and tools needed for securing both existing products and new developments. You will play a key role in the build-up of the Product security function and the related capabilities (e.g. Assurance, Incident management, Vulnerability management, Third-party risk management). In this role, you will work with multiple stakeholders across SKF ensuring long-term security as well as providing expertise and hands-on support when required. You will be part of SKF Technology Development in the department Digital Engineering & Innovation (DE&I), which includes around 160 people and plays a leading role in SKF’s digital transformation.  

Your day-to-day work 

  • Drive the development and rollout globally of Digital Product Security capabilities, necessary processes, tools and interconnected services
  • Identify, translate and communicate requirements from applicable legislation (EU Radio Equipment Directive, EU Cyber Resilience Act, etc.) and international standards (IEC 62443, etc.) for product/industrial cybersecurity
  • Provide guidance and expertise around Product security topics to various Product teams globally in SKF
  • Create, support and manage governance and documentation of your Digital Product Security capability(ies) within SKF Information Security Management System
  • Manage (internal / external) delivery and progress reporting regarding build-up and rollout globally in SKF
  • Deliver customized reports of service data to SKF Digital Product organizations and other stakeholders
  • Drive improvements and contribute to overall implementation of Digital Product Security practices across SKF together with other capability owners  
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions with various stakeholders in scope of your capability ownership 

We expect you to have

  • Academic degree in information technology / relevant field for Digital Product Security  
  • Significant and proven experience from working with cybersecurity implementation and/or security testing of digital products (HW/SW/Solutions)  
  • Strong interest to monitor and stay up-to-date in relevant topics for around product security / cybersecurity
  • Strong leadership capabilities and ability to plan and drive initiatives in a global organization  
  • Solid knowledge and experience of working with different (security-related) standards and legislations like IEC 62443-3 and 62443-4, EU RED 2022/30 (EN 18031), EU GDPR or similar  
  • Excellent facilitation skills and communication skills in English  
  • Professional ability to engage with others and experienced in building relationships

Additional information for you 
Location: Gothenburg, Sweden. Local contract. 

You will be part of a global team with Information- and Product Security Officers. The position will require frequent collaboration and networking via Teams, telephone, and e-mail. Occasional travelling may be necessary.
