The role
As an Incident Responder, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be required to respond safely and appropriately to Medical, Fire or Safety Incidents. You will also be responsible for maintaining the site security and manning levels.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll conduct regular patrols both internally and externally to identify and report any safety hazards. You'll control access to and from the site whilst performing authorised searches including vehicles. You'll also:
  

  • Carry out duties aligned to the site security and safety on a business as usual (BAU) and Incident Response basis, responding to security, fire and safety incidents when required 
  • Control access to and from site including search pedestrians - temporary pass-holders and permanent pass-holder vehicles
  • Assessment of risks to the site through the use of CCTV. Monitor alarm systems.
  • Receive and process emergency calls - Respond to service level agreement (SLA) for emergency calls
  • Maintain records where appropriate and necessary and complete all required documentation. Ensure secure storage of documents.

 

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.

 

Please note that this position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.

 

This role is full time, 42 hours per week and is based on site at Capenhurst. Flexibility is need as shifts will cover both day and night shift.

 

Essential experience of the Incident Responder:

  • Previous experience in one of the following sectors: Military, Police Force, Fire Service, Security and experience working in a high-pressured environment
  • Good standard of health and fitness
  • Flexibility to adapt to normal and emergency shift working patterns
  • Experience of security with a focus on incident response or threat management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences

 

Qualifications for the Incident Responder:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Security Industry Authority Accredited (SIA) – This is desirable however this can be provided by Babcock

 

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
