Role Overview: 

The Marketing & Communications Manager will oversee the development and execution of strategic initiatives in corporate branding, stakeholder engagement, internal and external communications, media monitoring, events management and corporate social responsibility. This role is integral to ensuring cohesive messaging, stakeholder satisfaction and alignment with the organization’s mission and values. 
 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Marketing Strategy & Planning 

  • Lead annual gotomarket planning workshop with all BUs; translate business objectives into integrated campaign roadmap. 
  • Develop and maintain a segmentation & persona library for core customer clusters; refresh insights biannually. 
  • Craft channelmix frameworks (paid, earned, owned, shared) and budget allocations informed by ROMI analysis. 
  • Manage €X m OPEX budget; implement zerobased reviews each Q4 and reallocate ≥10 % to highROI activities. 
  • Maintain competitiveintelligence dashboard; issue a quarterly "market moves" brief to sales leadership. 
  • Coordinate product launch playbooks, ensuring messaging consistency and readiness of sales enablement assets. 
  • Liaise with Finance on forecast accuracy for promotional spend and accruals. 

2. Brand Management & Creative Governance 

  • Own corporate identity (CI/VI); update brand guidelines annually, including toneofvoice and visual templates. 
  • Run a brandasset management (DAM) platform: tagging, rights management, periodic audits for misuse. 
  • Commission brandequity studies every 18 months; convert findings into action plans (+10 ppt aided awareness target). 
  • Brief, negotiate and oversee creative agencies; enforce SLA/KPI scorecards and quarterly business reviews. 
  • Curate and approve all highvalue creative concepts and storyboards before production. 
  • Champion innovation sprints with the R&D team to align packaging design with brand architecture. 
  • Manage trademark watch service and coordinate with Legal on infringements. 
  • Publish an annual brand report summarising key metrics, wins and nextyear priorities. 

3. Internal Communications 

  • Produce and orchestrate monthly Chairman’s townhall events: agenda design, scripts, interactive polling. 
  • Maintain an editorial calendar for the intranet and Workplace feed; target ≥2 strategic stories/week. 
  • Partner with HR to design culturebuilding campaigns (e.g., Values Week, recognition programmes). 
  • Roll out changemanagement comms (policies, system rollouts) with clear CTA and feedback loops. 
  • Deliver leadership communication toolkits (speech templates, Q&A books, slide masters). 
  • Track employee engagement KPIs via pulse surveys and eNPS; present insights in quarterly People Dashboard. 
  • Operate a comms champions network across sites to localise content and gather grassroots feedback. 
  • Maintain the internal crisis cascade (teams, SMS, WhatsApp, email) for urgent alerts. 

4. External Communications & Media Relations 

  • Build and maintain tier1 journalist relationship map; meet key editors at least twice per year. 
  • Draft and distribute press releases, media kits and opeds; secure ≥2 positive tier1 hits per quarter. 
  • Manage proactive media pitching grid aligned to business milestones and thoughtleadership agenda. 
  • Oversee executive media training sessions; ensure spokespeople complete refreshers annually. 
  • Keep a crisis "dark site" and preapproved holding statements ready for instant activation. 
  • Coordinate industry awards submissions; target shortlist rate ≥60 %. 
  • Oversee paid amplification strategy for highimpact stories (native ads, influencers, sponsored content). 

5. Digital Marketing & Website 

  • Own VGROUP.gr CMS roadmap: feature backlog, userjourney mapping, CRO tests. 
  • Lead SEO/SEM strategy: keyword research, backlink outreach, landingpage optimisation; target +20 % organic traffic. 
  • Deploy marketingautomation journeys (email nurturing, retargeting, leadscoring). 
  • Implement tagging taxonomy & UTM standards for accurate campaign attribution. 
  • Manage social media calendar across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube; maintain average ER ≥ 3 %. 
  • Produce monthly digital scorecard (traffic, CTR, CPL, conversion rate) and propose optimisation actions. 
  • Oversee website accessibility & GDPR compliance with Legal & IT. 
  • Pilot emerging formats (podcasts, webinars, AR experiences) to expand reach. 

6. Event & Sponsorship Management 

  • Manage tradeshow booths: concept, build, staffing, lead capture, postevent ROI analysis. 
  • Oversee community and CSR activations (e.g., beach cleanups, STEM scholarships) ensuring alignment with ESG goals. 
  • Negotiate and activate sports & cultural sponsorships; ensure asset utilisation ≥90 %. 
  • Maintain an event playbook covering RACI, risk assessment, contingency plans. 
  • Track event performance KPIs (attendance, NPS, leads); debrief within 72 hours. 
  • Coordinate speaker bureau and prep Csuite for external engagements. 

7. Crisis & Issues Support 

  • Keep crisis comms playbooks updated (cyber incident, safety, product recall, activist threat). 
  • Conduct biannual simulations with crossfunctional teams; document lessons learned. 
  • Maintain incident log and produce postincident analysis plus stakeholder sentiment report. 
  • Prepare FAQ macros and social media holding lines for rapid deployment. 
  • Coordinate with Legal and HSSE on regulatory disclosures during incidents. 

8. CSR & Community Relations 

  • Amplify CSR storylines via owned, earned and paid channels; integrate with sustainability report. 
  • Manage community investment budget; vet proposals against socialimpact framework. 
  • Collaborate with Procurement on supplier codeofconduct communications. 
  • Oversee volunteer programme (Volunteer Days, skillsbased volunteering); track participation rate ≥20 % of staff. 
  • Design impactmeasurement model (outputs, outcomes, longterm impact) for CSR initiatives. 
  • Publish an annual communityrelations dashboard. 

9. Analytics & Insight 

  • Operate realtime marcom dashboard aggregating SOV, sentiment, web metrics, funnel performance. 
  • Conduct quarterly attribution modelling to evaluate ROMI across channels. 
  • Run A/B and multivariate tests on creative and copy; institutionalise learnings. 
  • Commission annual stakeholder perception study; benchmark against peers. 
  • Maintain risk/opportunity radar using sociallistening AI to flag emerging issues. 
  • Present a monthly insights newsletter with actionable recommendations to BU heads. 

10. Team Leadership & Vendor Management 

  • Lead a squad of 4 direct reports (Digital, Content, Events, Design); maintain 9box talent matrix and succession plans. 
  • Facilitate quarterly development talks and set personalised growth OKRs. 
  • Draft RFPs and SOWs; negotiate agency retainers and project fees. 
  • Conduct semiannual vendor performance reviews against SLA/KPIs; decide renew/replace. 

Professional Experience  and Academic Background: 

  • 8 + years in B2B/B2C marketing and communications, incl. 3 + years in a managerial role. 
  • Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communications, Business or related; MSc/MBA a plus. 
  • Proven track record in integrated campaigns, brand governance and digital performance marketing. 
  • Fluency in Greek & English (written and verbal); additional EU language desirable. 
  • Excellent command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
