About the role:

The Splunk Engineer will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the security strategy of the organization. By supporting cybersecurity operations and our Splunk infrastructure in particular, the expert ensures that all department efforts align with business objectives and regulatory frameworks. This position is instrumental in fostering a secure, resilient, and compliant operational environment in a dynamic fintech context.

What you’ll do:

• Design, deploy, and manage Splunk infrastructure, including indexers, search heads, forwarders, and clusters. 
• Develop and optimize Splunk queries, dashboards, and alerts for real-time monitoring and reporting. 
• Onboard new data sources into Splunk, ensuring proper parsing, field extraction, and data normalization. 
• Collaborate with IT and Dev teams. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Splunk performance and data ingestion.  
• Document configurations, processes, and best practices.
• Develop use cases and runbooks applicable for the company.
• Work closely with the SOC team to properly implement and monitor the status of the correlation rules.
• Participates in the incident management process and act as a subject matter exert in case of an incident during the investigation process.
• Train and support end-users on Splunk usage and best practices.

This role is perfect for you if you have:

• 1+ years of hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise and/or Splunk Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of Splunk architecture, deployment, and administration.
• Proficiency in SPL (Search Processing Language) and dashboard creation.
• Experience with data onboarding, parsing, and field extraction.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and SIEM concepts.
• Problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Splunk certifications (e.g., Splunk Core Certified Power User, Splunk Certified Admin, Splunk Certified Architect).
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
• Experience integrating Splunk with other security tools and platforms.
• Background in cybersecurity or IT operations.
