Work you will do:

The Senior ISSO oversees the implementation and enforcement of security policies, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and accreditation requirements. This role is key to maintaining system authorization, managing security risks, and safeguarding classified information throughout the contract lifecycle.

  • Serve as the principal advisor to the Information System Owner (SO), Business Process Owner, and the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) / Information System Security Manager (ISSM) on all matters, technical and otherwise, involving the security of the information system
  • Ensure the implementation and maintenance of security controls
  • Direct and implement necessary controls and procedures to protect information systems assets
  • Provide guidance and direction for the physical protection of information systems assets
  • Recommend the adoption of new procedures when necessary

Our Cyber Defense & Resilience offering assists clients in defending against advanced threats by transforming security operations, monitoring technology, data analytics, and threat intelligence. Helps manage and protect dynamic attack surfaces and provides rapid crisis and cyber incident response, ensuring clients can be ready for, respond to, and recover from business disruptions.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility required. 
  • Willingness to sit for a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph examination.
  • Ability to be onsite in Huntsville, AL five days a week.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience serving as an Information System Security Officer or similar role involving the implementation and/or maintenance of security controls to protect information system assets.
  • 8+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, NIST 800 Series publications, and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance.
Preferred:
  • 8+ years of experience with VMWare vSphere 7, Cisco Networking, Dell Server, SAN Storage hardware, system accreditation and authorization, NIST 800-53 control implementations, and GRC tools (RiskVision, Xacta, and JCAM).
  • Prior professional services or federal consulting experience.
  • Certifications: Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, VMware Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
