As a Cyber Security Analyst, you’ll be the guardian of our digital world—protecting critical data, preventing threats before they strike, and ensuring our systems stay secure and resilient. This role reports directly to the IT Operations Manager at Ignite Travel Group and will also work closely with the security team at Ignite Travel’s parent company, Flight Centre Travel Group.
A day in the life:
- Security Monitoring & Incident Response: Monitor and respond to security alerts with our security partner
- Investigate incidents and identify root causes and help create and execute incident response plans
- Vulnerability Management: Run regular scans on systems and applications.
- Prioritize and fix vulnerabilities based on risk and work with IT teams to patch and update systems
- Security Policy & Compliance: Support the management and enforcement of security policies
- Help ensure compliance with standards and regulations whilst providing security guidance and awareness to teams
- Security Architecture: Help design and implement security controls and review new projects for security risks and offer solutions
- Security Awareness Training: Create and deliver training to boost cybersecurity awareness and improve employee readiness through simulations
Who you are:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Proven experience in cyber security roles, with a focus on security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management

Strong understanding of network security, encryption, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems

Knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)

Familiarity with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and endpoint protection

Certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC are a plus
Skills:

Ability to work independently and in a team environment
