At Signia Aerospace, the network administrator is responsible for maintaining the networks and systems that keep our organization running. From maintaining ironclad security to supervising network updates and training users, the administrator is not only IT support but also the thread that connects all operations. Deep technological expertise with a wide range of computer systems, hardware, and software is essential for the network administrator to excel in this role and help drive our organization forward.
Objectives of this role
· Assist in network design, implementation, and maintenance
· Provide network support across organizational operating systems
· Maintain stable and consistent connectivity across all network devices
· Prepare, implement, and monitor disaster procedures and recovery
· Maintain strong security practices and oversight
Responsibilities
· Installs, configures, tests, maintains, monitors, and troubleshoots the internal network including planning and other activities reserved for complex issues including software, servers, VPNs, routers, and other physical hardware.
· Troubleshoots and solves the most complex network connectivity problems, including monitoring the network and servers for problems, diagnosing problems, and taking the appropriate corrective measures to ensure a resolution.
· Ensures network security by ensuring proper user accessibility and being able to reasonably guard against the most complex threats to security that will face the network.
· Assists in planning for the future strategy of networks and servers and provides budgetary information as needed.
· Create, adjust, and maintain network user settings and permissions.
· Prepare, implement, and monitor disaster procedures and recovery.
· Propose improvements to increase the IT value to the organization.
· Write technical support documentation for network systems and applications.
· Provide Tier III support for help desk tickets and projects.
· Performs Project Management responsibilities as needed.
· Work with SOC team to ensure solid cyber security for the entire organization
Requirements
Required skills and qualifications
· Current practices, terminology, and principles of networking and information technology.
· Comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts, computing infrastructures and troubleshooting complex issues.
· Continuity of operations practices relating to local area networks, and connectivity to wide area networks.
· In depth knowledge of Microsoft Active directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy and PowerShell
· Experience with leading server management and monitoring tools
· Strong communication skills for training and assisting end users and interacting with leadership
· Excellent knowledge of VMWare, M365, Azure AD, Firewall Technologies, and Windows Server Operating Systems
· Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related field
Preferred skills and qualifications
· 5 years minimum experience
· Experience with VPN and MFA technologies
· Experience with Fortinet Firewalls and Access Points, Mimecast, and LANSweeper
· Experience with Synology Appliances and Backup Applications
· Experience with either EMC SANs or other storage units and either Cisco, Dell, and Unifi switches
· Experience with MS SQL a plus
· Professional certification, such as CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP a plus
· Familiar with CMMC and NIST security standards and certification processes a plus

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works both indoors and outdoors.
· The employee may work near moving mechanical equipment and have the potential threat of electric shock. The noise level in the work environment varies from quiet to loud.
· 30% travel may be required during project-based activities along with routine visit schedules
