As a global critical financial infrastructure, the protection of Euroclear information and assets is fundamental to the company’s business. Security is at the core of our services, firmly embedded in the management systems and processes of the company. You will be joining our CISO Division – Platform Security department in charge of putting in place the required technical solution to protect effectively our applications.
You will join CISO Customer Security Operation & Security Engineering Team in the role of Product Owner (2 Services as a building block (ITIL definition) : Web Applications Firewall (WF) and Reverse Proxies for activities both On Prem and in the Cloud.
Product Owner role:
The Product Owner (PO) for the Customer Security Operations and Engineering Team in CISO is responsible for (i) defining the product vision and roadmap, (ii) prioritizing the product backlog and (iii) ensuring the team delivers value to customers and managing the 2 Squads of Security Engineers.
The PO collaborates with stakeholders from other IT Divisions to gather requirements, to ensure alignments on the priorities and ensures the team follows Agile practices to maximize value delivery for Euroclear and in adherence with corporate guidelines.
The role is a Senior IT Manager role with proven experience in IT People Management (Dual Squad to lead), crisis & incident management and able to consider multiple parameters into account to build a “360 degrees view”. The role demands a hands-on approach of Management of IT Teams based on several years of experience, proactively identifying and mitigating (security) risks, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal regulations.
Key Responsibilities on the IT Service:
• Product Vision and Roadmap: With the support of our Technical Lead, develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the overall goals of the tribe and organization for the WAF and RPX
• Leadership and Influence: Lead and inspire the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
• Backlog Management: Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring it reflects the most valuable work for the team
• Change Management: Ensure adherence to Change & Release Management processes and manage changes effective
• Crisis and Incident Management: in the Customer Security Team within CISO involves identifying, managing, and support resolving critical security incidents to minimise damage and restore normal operations swiftly. The transversal communication is key for that part
• Risk Management: the role embeds risk management into daily operations, focusing on infrastructure security, privileged access, and change governance. With the Technical Lead, PO identifies risks and support implementation both immediate fixes and long-term solutions
• User-Centric Approach: Understand and advocate for the needs and pain points of the end-users through continuous engagement and feedback
• Technical Understanding: Have a solid grasp of the technical security aspects of the products considered (a generic Cyber background is a plus)

• Stakeholders Management: Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and manage expectations, remove impediments and solve conflicts if any
• Agile Methodologies: Proficiently apply agile principles and practices to facilitate smooth and efficient product development
• Capacity Management: Plan and manage the capacity of the team to ensure that major initiatives are adequately resourced
• Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to regularly reflect and enhance their processes and practices
• Efficiency and Complexity Reduction: Focus on reducing complexity and improving efficiency within the team
• Career Development: Support interoperability within the team and promote career development opportunities
• Support for Newcomers: Provide necessary support and coaching for newcomers to ensure their successful integration into the team

• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
• Be able to express well-founded opinions and positions and understand their consequences (judgement)
• Need to have excellent interpersonal skills to build trust with the Engineers and our stakeholders / internal customers
• Able to support the change Program of the Team: Experience of implementing “architecture” solutions to meet key deliverables (supporting the change effort)
Educational Requirements
- Degree: Degree in Computer Science, Business, or a similar field is a big plus
Additional Information
Department Description: The Platform Security department provides engineering (platform, process, and automation), management (configuration and life cycle), and support (24/7) for the security-owned platforms needed for CISO to offer its services
Services Include: Internal security services (WEB proxy, AV-Malware protection, IDS/IPS, firewall security management & optimization), Customer security services (Application Reverse Proxy and Web Application firewalls), PKI, Crypto and key management services, Enterprise cryptography Operations
Office Presence requirement: must be ready to come on-site in Euroclear Brussels office 8 days (EIGHT DAYS) per month or when needed for specific meetings or workshops.
