What you'll be doing

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, Access Quality Control Management, you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational effectiveness of access provisioning controls for SOX/DCJ/HVA applications. Your expertise will support the Enterprise Service Request Management team in maintaining compliance and driving process excellence. In this role, you will manage and oversee Quality Access reviews to ensure compliance with established controls, validate access provisioning processes and ensure they align with regulatory standards, act as a liaison with regulatory and governance partners, address time-sensitive audit artifact requests, follow-ups & queries, engage in key business initiatives including audit walkthroughs and risk consulting, to provide strategic insights and recommendations as well as conduct ongoing reviews with Line of Business (LOB) stakeholders and internal teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices. You will also partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment on audit and risk management objectives, provide expert guidance to stakeholders on compliance requirements and operational controls, continuously evaluate existing processes to identify gaps and recommend enhancements and champion the adoption of industry best practices to strengthen the organization's risk management framework.

How you'll succeed

  • Analytical & Tech Savvy  – You are analytical and tech-savvy, with a strong understanding of various technologies, enabling you to proactively monitor and manage environments to enhance efficiency, minimize end-user incidents, and take preventative actions while effectively reporting progress. Your ability to analyze data helps identify trends and address issues by creating or updating procedures as needed. With strong analytical skills, you excel at developing clear communications and delivering impactful presentations. Additionally, your interpersonal, influencing, and negotiating abilities allow you to convey complex concepts and ideas effectively to diverse audiences.

  • Compliance & Risk Control  – You possess a comprehensive understanding of CIBC’s compliance policies and have extensive experience collaborating with both internal and external audit teams. In this role, you ensure that the team adheres to all processes, meeting stringent audit and regulatory requirements. Your expertise includes end-user application security access provisioning, risk control measures, and ensuring compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) standards.

  • Relationship Management  –   You excel in delivering high-quality results within time-sensitive environments. With an organized, proactive, and thoughtful approach, you focus on driving risk-free, positive experiences for both end users and employees. Your expertise includes methodologies, tools, and techniques that enable constructive and collaborative engagement with individuals and groups. Additionally, you are adept at building and maintaining strong working relationships and partnerships with key clients, vendors, and peers.

  • Leading and Mentoring – Take a proactive approach in ensuring the delivery of required work items, for example source files used in the preparation monthly package for submission to various parties. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.

Who you are

  • You have 3+ years experience in IT Audit or Identity and Access Management - Access Provisioning.  It is an asset if you are familiar with CIBC Logical Security Standards and Access Policy. 

  • You have experience in Python or Advanced Excel (Macros/VB Scripting), Power BI and ServiceNow.

  • You have solid organization, planning, and time management skills.  Ability to multitask and schedule work to meet defined SLAs.

  • You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Business, and/or a related field. Certification in any of the following will be an asset; CIAM, Security+, CISA or CISSP.
