Security Engineering Manager (m,f,x)

The role

We are looking for a seasoned and highly capable Security Engineering Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in people and team management and possess expertise in core leadership areas, including strategic planning, people management, performance management, career development, and metrics-driven security program maturity tracking.

You will be leading one or more squads in the Security Tribe responsible for maintaining and improving various Security Programs at HelloFresh, including but not limited to Vulnerability Management, Cloud Security, Enterprise IT Security, Security Operations and Incident Response.

What you’ll do

• Lead and manage (a) team(s) of 5-10 security engineers, ensuring that they have the resources and support they need to be successful.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive security strategy for the organization.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the security team, maintaining optimal quality while running a happy team.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that security is integrated into all aspects of the organization's operations.
• Develop comprehensive and accurate reports and presentations for both technical and executive audiences.
• Effectively communicate findings and strategy to various stakeholders including technical staff, executive leadership, and legal counsel.

What you’ll bring

• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on people and team management.
• Demonstrated success in leading medium to large teams, with expertise in people and stakeholder management, conflict resolution, performance management, career development, and mentorship.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, having a high emotional intelligence quotient. 
• Fundamental knowledge of tools, techniques and procedures used for cloud, web, and network security hardening, testing and incident response.
• Experience of tactical, strategic and long-term security planning and OKR/KPI tracking.
