ECS is seeking a Senior Cyber Solutions Architect to work in our Arlington, VA office.

We are seeking a highly capable Senior Cyber Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of innovative cybersecurity and IT solutions across federal government programs and projects. This role requires a blend of technical leadership, solution strategy, and hands-on prototyping expertise. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating complex stakeholder environments, translating mission requirements into compelling technical visions, and guiding cross-functional teams from concept to delivery.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to federal customers—leading multiple teams in rapidly iterating on solution design, validating concepts through prototypes, and presenting strategic recommendations to executives and stakeholders. Success in this role requires critical thinking, technical breadth and depth, and a proven ability to overcome constraints such as budget, schedule, and available resources to deliver value-driven outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead solution development efforts across federal programs—translating requirements into actionable strategies, architectures, and prototypes.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, driving iterative design, implementation planning, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Develop and validate innovative ideas through rapid prototyping to demonstrate value and accelerate buy-in.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and technical advancement within complex federal IT environments.
  • Navigate organizational, procedural, and technical constraints to drive progress and ensure alignment with mission objectives.
  • Define and track success metrics to quantify the value and impact of delivered solutions.
  • Ensure alignment with federal cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISMA, Zero Trust) and compliance standards.
  • Evangelize technical solutions to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring broad support and collaboration.
  • Contribute to thought leadership by staying current on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices across cybersecurity and IT domains.
Qualifications
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a technical lead, solutions architect, or senior engineer on federal IT programs (>$50M contract value).
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience implementing or integrating cybersecurity technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, TIP, vulnerability management, or threat detection platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience creating prototypes and presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences, including federal stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience working with multi-level cybersecurity data
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including Zero Trust, cloud security, and federal compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to model and forecast technical resource needs (e.g., CPU, network throughput, storage) and labor requirements, documented in structured formats such as a Basis of Estimate (BOE).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with experience performing formal trade studies and solution evaluations.
