About the Opportunity

The Information & Privacy Officer is responsible for managing all right to information applications, information privacy applications and privacy complaints received by the University.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end processing of RTI, IPA, and privacy complaints.
  • Provide expert advice and support to staff on RTI/IPA and privacy obligations.
  • Conduct investigations and recommend findings to the Privacy Officer.
  • Develop and maintain RTI/IPA and privacy complaint resources for stakeholders.
  • Deliver staff training and education on RTI/IPA and privacy matters.
  • Maintain accurate records to support compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Monitor legislative changes and update related policies and procedures.

About you

  • The occupant of this position will hold relevant undergraduate qualifications (preferably legal qualifications) with at least two (2) years-experience in a similar role or have an equivalent level of expertise obtained from a combination of experience, training, professional accreditation and qualification.

Candidates must have full unrestricted Australian work rights and may be subject to a National criminal history check.

What we can offer

This is a continuing opportunity based at Brisbane South (Nathan).  As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.

HEW 7 Salary – Base range - $101,068.27 - $109,496.54 + 17% super. Full package range - $118,249.89 - $128,110.96.
