About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Security Support Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on providing advanced support for the Data Security modules of Microsoft Purview, Symantec DLP or WIZ Data Security Posture Management. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data governance, data protection, and compliance, and will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our data assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Expert Support: Offer advanced technical support for Microsoft Purview Data Security features, Symantec DLP solutions, and Wiz platform, including data classification, data loss prevention (DLP), data encryption, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and deployment guidance.
  • Policy Management: Develop, implement, and manage DLP policies to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Incident Management: Respond to and resolve complex data security incidents and issues, ensuring minimal impact on business operations. Manage DLP incidents, including investigation, analysis, and remediation. Address technical issues to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements, providing guidance on best practices for data security and DLP policies.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Implement and maintain monitoring solutions to track data security metrics and generate reports for stakeholders. Monitor DLP systems and alerts to identify potential data breaches or policy violations. Measure customers’ achievement of key performance indicators and report those both internally and externally.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT, security, and compliance teams to develop and implement data security strategies and solutions, ensure the effective deployment and operation of DLP solutions, and serve as the primary liaison for technical questions or escalations. Collaborate with Engineering and Support teams to resolve technical escalations quickly and efficiently.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of data security processes, procedures, configurations, DLP configurations, policies, and procedures. Maintain comprehensive documentation of support interactions and solutions provided.
  • Training and Knowledge Sharing: Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate internal teams on data security best practices, Microsoft Purview features, DLP best practices and usage, and Wiz platform features. Contribute to workshops aimed at helping customers unlock the full value of the data security platform they have chosen.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data security, Microsoft Purview, DLP technologies, and Wiz platform. Proactively suggest improvements to enhance data security and protection. Continuously monitor news related to new & emerging cloud security threats and grow knowledge of the data security ecosystem.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data security, with a focus on Microsoft Purview or similar data protection tools.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data classification, DLP, data encryption, and other data security technologies; Understanding of cloud services, architectures, and security best practices.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, Symantec DLP SCS or similar are preferred.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex technical issues.
  • Familiarity with industry compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, PIPEDA, US State Privacy laws, NIST Privacy Framework, ISO 27701, etc.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team Player: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
