The Raytheon team is looking for a Software Product Owner to support the Command-and-Control Communications Collaboration Cybersecurity and Intelligence (C5I) product line and the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) Software (SW) Department.  The MDS SW mission is to provide world class Radar and Command and Control (C2) Software for our customers' wide array of Surveillance and Warning Systems. We align to the core Agile and DevSecOps principles of collaborative operation across the entire value stream, delivering high-frequency, high-quality deployments to our customers.

What You Will Do:

Responsible for architectural and execution decisions of the C5I DevSecOps build pipeline and deployment process, working closely with program leadership to ensure alignment and consistency.

Manage, coordinate and support execution of scrum team scope and agile backlog for team responsible for the program’s tooling and DevSecOps infrastructure including Build Pipeline Management, collaboration across multiple development and deployment teams, continuous build monitoring and risk assessment of updated tools

Provide periodic reports of development environment build health, including automated test status, and static analysis reports for software vulnerabilities

Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and peer reviews to scrum team members

Manage technical solutions along with cost and schedule including managing earned value

Qualifications You Must Have:

Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 15 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

Experience in software build deployments via Jenkins

Experience in containerization methodologies (e.g. Docker/Kubernetes)

Experience in Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Ansible, Terraform)

Proven experience leading an engineering team, preferably using the Agile Scrum or Kanban framework

Experience managing technical, cost and schedule performance

Experience developing software in a team-based development environment using the Agile Scrum or Kanban framework

Excellent communication, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills

Ability to obtain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s or higher degree in Engineering, or relevant discipline

Proven ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user requirements

Prior experience with the C5I product line or other DOD programs

Ability to understand command and control and/or radar technology in the areas of software design, integration and test

Familiarity with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) and CMMI-compliant Gate Reviews

Proven experience in large, complex defense systems

Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements

RTX Earned Value Management System Certification

Six Sigma, CORE, Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Software Project Management Certification and PMX certifications

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
