Job Description

Visa's Cybersecurity team provides enterprise-wide, risk-based cybersecurity policies, practices, and solutions to protect Visa’s systems and data from internal and external threats. To protect Visa’s assets in this dynamic threat landscape, they are deploying new cyber-security tools, collaborating across industries, and taking a proactive approach to monitoring the cyberspace beyond the Visa network.

Visa's Cyber Threat Analytics and Research team (CTAR)  team is looking for Sr. UI/UX Engineer who will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our key cyber solution. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other designers, to create visually appealing and functional interfaces that meet both user and business needs. Your expertise in user-centered design principles and front-end technologies will be critical in delivering exceptional user experiences.

Essential Functions:

• Lead the end-to-end UI/UX design and implementation for complex web application.

• Collaborate with the broader design, research, and delivery team to produce designs that champion the best digital experience for our customers while achieving business goals

• Design flows of information on a website or app, creating wireframes, and interactive prototypes along with detailed supporting documentation.

• Translate wireframes and designs into high-quality, reusable code using Angular, HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript.

• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless end-to-end user experiences.

• Working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs are feasible and aligned with business goals. 

• Make trade-offs in an environment of often-conflicting objectives, e.g., deliver great experience to deadlines with fixed resources. Ruthless prioritization and an ability to focus on key issues.

• Identify and troubleshoot UI/UX issues, proposing and implementing solutions to improve usability and accessibility.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest Angular features, UI/UX trends, and web technologies, and advocate for their adoption when appropriate.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:
• 3 or more years of work experience (UI/UX Design and front-end development) with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• Proficiency in design software like Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar tools.
• Strong expertise in core web technologies: HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Proficient in building web application and reusable components, custom directives, and pipes using Angular.
• Ability to create wireframes and prototypes using various tools.
• Experience using customer research, behavioral or digital analytics to drive design and optimization.
• Ability to analyze user data and research findings to inform design decisions.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating UX process, low and high-fidelity design skills, and outcomes delivered.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and deploying front-end applications.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and end-to-end testing tools.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey design ideas and work with cross-functional teams.
