Job Description & Summary:

PwC is driving major change across information and IT by building a centralised model to provide IT & security services across the entire member firm network. Network Operations Engineer will be a team lead in providing the day-to-day support for the Global SD WAN, LAN environments and related technologies. This role is critical as it will support network services enabling the business. Responsibilities:

  • As a Network Operations Engineer, you would,
  • Pro-actively monitor and maintain the Global SD WAN and LAN environments, including but not limited to
  • offices, data centres and cloud regions.
  • Triage and troubleshoot customer network issues, manage incidents and resolve accordingly
  • Act as Level 3/Level 4 support for the L2 teams for any issues with WAN or LAN and related technologies to
  • ensure problem is resolved in a timely manner
  • Interact with equipment vendors regarding new software features, defects and configurations, perform
  • validation prior to deployment to production network
  • Create documentation (MOPs) for change management process and SOPs for L2 teams to guide in the
  • troubleshooting and operations of the network
  • Be available for escalation when on-call

  • Education and Experience:

  • Experience in designing, building and managing office, data centre and cloude LANs and WANs

  • ● Knowledge of IP routing, LAN and WAN Technologies, Network Security, Layer 2 Switching technologies, Network Management Systems

  •  ● 5+ years' experience in IP Networking - Routing, Switching, Load Balancing, RADIUS, TACACS, BGP, DNS, MPLS, OSPF, SDWAN, Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto

  • ● Experience in Public and Hybrid cloud, including Azure, GCP and AWS

  •  ● Experience in Network Firewalls, VPNs, IPSec, SSL and GRE tunnelling

Mandatory skill sets:

SDWAN, Cisco, Meraki

Preferred skill sets:

Essential Skills:

- Hands-on Knowledge of 4 or more of the following areas: IP Networking & Routing, SD WAN Technologies,

VPNs, PaloAlto Firewalls, WAFs, DNS

- Experience with Cisco Meraki cloud-based solution including Wireless LAN, Meraki MX security appliances,

Meraki MS switches, and Meraki MG cellular gateways.

- Ability to conduct & inspect packet captures to analyse the network stack

- DataDog

- Efficient Splunk User and ability to create on-demand queries and dashboards

- Experience working with CSPs, including Azure, AWS, GCP, and Multi-Cloud Networking Tools

- Critical thinking & methodical approach to troubleshooting

- Able to work under pressure scenarios and effectively prioritise alerts

- Quick learner and able to adapt ways of working in a constantly changing environment

- Experience with scripting languages, especially Python, and with Automation tools such as Phantom, Ansible

and Terraform
